Forest Bathing After 50

A slow, practical guide to being among trees, by Fay Chapple, certified forest bathing teacher.

No hiking. No fitness test, no special gear and nowhere to get to. Forest bathing comes from Japan, where it is called shinrin yoku, and at its heart it is an unhurried walk where you let your senses do the work. This book walks you through your first outing step by step, then gives you twelve small invitations to use on any walk, a sit spot to return to through the seasons, and an Ontario year among trees.

For the days you can't get out, there are practices for a chair, a window or your bed. There is a guided walk you can read aloud to a friend, and a thirty day plan that mostly takes 10 to 20 minutes.

Chapter thirteen is by Stacy Maynard, Reiki Master, on taking self Reiki outside.

44 pages, PDF, with a printable sit spot page. Read it on your phone or print it. It is yours to keep the moment you pay.
