What you will not get
A shopping list. Most of what I suggest costs nothing, because it is about what goes where and what leaves. You will not be told to buy a fountain or knock down a wall.

- Sleep with your head to the south. It is your Sheng Qi direction, the most fortunate of the four.
- At the study nook desk, sit facing south or north. Never with your back to the door.
- Front entrance, southeast: a brass six rod chime by the door, nothing red, and no renovation there this year.
- Spare room, northeast: clear the boxes. The 9 water star sits here, and 9 is the star of this period.
- Your colours: red, coral, pink and green. Go easy on blue and black.

I am a Feng Shui Master, and I have been reading homes for a long time. For years I ran a design firm called Blue Avalon, where I did full house audits, taught workshops and wrote a monthly journal for about a thousand readers.
I am also over 50. The real question in a house like yours is what each room is for, once the reason for it has left. Where the sofa goes comes second.
I am not religious and I will not ask you to believe anything. I will ask you to move a chair and see how the room feels in a month.
Questions people ask.
Do I have to believe in feng shui?
No. Feng shui is a very old way of noticing how a room makes people feel and behave. Try the changes and judge them by how the house feels a month later.
Does this really work over video?
Yes. I see more on a slow walk with your camera than I would in a tidy house prepared for a visitor. If you can make a video call, you can do this.
I rent, or I live in a condo. Is it still worth it?
Yes. Nearly everything I suggest is about furniture, light, clutter and what each room is used for. None of it needs a landlord's permission.
My partner thinks this is nonsense.
That is common, and fine. They are welcome on the call or welcome to stay out of it. The plan is practical enough that sceptics usually go along with it.
Do you cover the whole house?
The walkthrough covers the main rooms of an ordinary home. For a very large house, a cottage as well as a home, or a business, write to me first through the contact page and I will tell you honestly what it needs.
